Sterling silver feather hand cut and sawed out with a Hubei Turquoise stone bezeled in the center, hand textured and antiqued with a beautiful patina. To keep the cost of this pendant low I added silver plated chain with a handmade sterling silver clasp. The chain pairs nicely with this pendant and keeps the cost at bay. I have other chain that can be swapped out if anyone prefers.
The feather is a powerful symbol, it is said to signify honor and a connection between the owner, the Creator, and the bird from which the feather came. It symbolizes peace, trust, honor, strength, wisdom, power and freedom. Finding a white feather means that angels are near and hearing your prayers.
You see turquoise and feathers often in Native American culture, turquoise is worn in many types of jewelry and often symbolizes water, the sky, or protection. Feathers are used to indicate an act of bravery. Native American culture is beautiful and this combination will always remind me to take a minute to to honor and offer a special homage to them for paving the way in showing many artists like myself, their styles and techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation in making such beautiful offerings.
