In Native American culture, White Buffalo is believed to contain mystical qualities that include healing abilities and energy purification. White Buffalo is often found next to turquoise in the same mine and shares a similar mineralization process. White Buffalo--also known as White Buffalo Turquoise--is a gemstone that is mined in Tonopah, Nevada by the Otteson family. It was presumed to be turquoise and often sold as such; however; its classification is magnesite and alumite. It has been popularized as White Turquoise. The stones are all natural and mined in Nevada. This looks lovely paired with antiqued backplate and a nice textured band. Size 5 and ring measures approximately 1.5” from top to bottom. Band is a little less than 1/2” thick. This ring can be made in a bigger size with a similar stone if requested.
